Fish Beer Batter
Excellent summer meal when accompanied with a salad.
|1 1/2 cup||beer|
|2 1/2 lbs||fish: cod, sole, halibut|
|1 tbsp||baking powder|
|3/4 tsp||garlic powder|
|1 1/2 cup||flour|
|3/4 tsp||salt or to taste|
|pepper to taste|
|oil for deep-frying|
- Mix dry ingredients together, add beer and mix thoroughly.
- Dip fish in batter and deep fry in preheated oil.
*Success Hint – Let batter stand for about 15 minutes to allow time for thickening before coating fish.
